Customer Service Representative I

Overview
The Customer Service Representative is an entry level, overtime eligible position that reports to the Customer Service Management team. The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by responding to customer and sales representatives’ inquiries, processing orders, and developing customer relationships.
Essential Functions
•                    Respond to customer and sales representative correspondence, including:
·                    Processing orders and following up on shipments.
·                    Replying to emails received in personal inbox, so domestic, so Ecolab and customer service inbox.
·                    Providing customers with order quotes and price lists.
·                    Creating export documentation and handling clearance issues with couriers.
·                    Answering phone calls promptly.
•                    Monitoring and creating a report of daily order activity and shipping.
•                    Creating blanket orders.
•                    Assisting with domestic distributors and developing customer relationships.
•                    Working with Square 9, Chat Bot and customer purchasing programs.
•                    Providing support to other departments as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
•                    High school diploma or GED equivalent 
•                    0- 2 years of experience in Customer Service.
•                    Skilled in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
•                    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•                    Able to work well with others and work in a team environment.
•                    Able to pay attention to detail and work with deadlines/delivery dates.
•                    This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the flexibility to work overtime as the department needs.
Preferred:
•                    Knowledge of Sales Ordering Systems
•                    Multilingual is a plus
Physical Requirements
•                    This person will spend long hours sitting, using office equipment such as a phone, headset, calculator, copy machine, and computer, which can cause muscle strain.
•                    There are several deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant stress.
•                    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.
•                    The person in this position frequently communicates with customers who have inquiries about shipping and/or payment information. This person must be able to provide accurate information in these situations.
•                    Training will be onsite but once fully trained position has the possibility to be work from home.
