Consultant- Risk Management (Houston)

Are you interested in helping companies deliver safe and reliable operations designed to protect people and the environment? DNV's Risk Advisory Services is seeking a Consultant- Risk Management (Health Safety and Environment)

Managing risk and uncertainty is one of the most fundamental roles in the energy sector and other process industries. The Risk section covers various services, including RAM (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability) modeling, Quantitative Risk Analysis, Functional Safety, FMEA/FMECA, and Data Analysis.

This role is mainly technical, with some elements of customer engagement. These may involve attending project meetings, presenting results, and identifying future business opportunities with new and existing clients. Training will be provided to not only enhance technical knowledge but also in areas such as Project Management.

This position will ideally be based out of our Katy (TX) office

What Is Required

  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in upstream, midstream or downstream energy sector
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or another technical discipline
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documents
  • Analytical skills to draw conclusions and develop recommendations for our clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels in an organization
  • Ability to form relationships with customers
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening

What Is Preferred

  • Previous experience as part of a major capital project
  • Knowledge of oil and gas equipment and processes
  • Knowledge of risk analysis methods
  • Perform quantitative modeling of different scenarios
