What you will do:

 

Performs conventional, less complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.

 

 

How you will do it:

  • Performs airflow, sound performance, and electric heat tests based on applicable AMCA, AHRI, and ISO standards.
  • Coordinates the development and maintenance of all lab testing standards.
  • Coordinates shipping/receiving of all Industrial HVAC equipment to and from lab.
  • Supervises installation and setup of Industrial HVAC equipment.
  • Performs troubleshooting within lab facilities.
  • Assists the Engineering Department in the upgrade of test facility data acquisition equipment.
  • Maintains tool and supply inventory; maintains required equipment calibration
  • Directs department activities to construct and test prototype designs ensuring compliance to industry and regulatory
  • standards.
  • Identify project resource requirements, review overall impact, and manage resources within project and fiscal limits.
  • Determines training needs for lab personnel and all employees performing work in the lab.
  • Confers with engineering staff to plan activities and programs, set priorities, and track progress.
  • Forecasts operating costs and develops capital plan for the lab area.
  • Evaluates test data for consistency and recommends appropriate actions.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Establishes, manages, and tracks program deliverables, costs, and schedules.
  • Clearly and consistently communicates program status.
  • Works with (direct report) employees to prepare annual goals and objectives.
  • Performs (direct report) employee quarterly and annual evaluations.
