Moloney Student Scholar Application

The UMass Lowell Moloney Student Scholar Fund provides financial support up to $2,500 in hourly wages, paid on the university's bi-weekly pay schedule, for UNPAID internship opportunities.   This is open to full time enrolled students, both undergraduate and graduate level.

This is only available for unpaid work opportunities off-campus at non-profits & government agencies, AND on-campus projects with faculty/staff.  *Practicums required for professional licensure are NOT eligible.

Key Program Details:

  • Students must secure their own work experience.
  • Moloney positions are NOT posted on JobHawk, if you receive this award you will need to find a position, and a supervisor, willing to approve the hours you will enter in JobHawk to be paid via the UML pay schedule.
  • The award is granted for one session only; students may not receive funding more than once.

*Funding is limited; not all eligible applicants will receive an award.
